We are happy to officially unveil Ilekam Ikechukwu (Mr Flakes) as the team’s Head of Media. He has been saddled to take the recently formed football club to the pinnacle of global recognition.

The unveiling ceremony which was held at the Government House Umuahia on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, was beautified with the presence of the SSA to The Governor on Due Process and who also doubles as the president of Buberio FC, Dr Oluebube Chukwu PhD in a colourful presentation of Mr Flakes to the public.

In a phone conversation with Flo Fm Umuahia shortly after the unveiling ceremony, Mr Flakes affirmed possibilities ahead as to what the team stands to achieve in the coming months as his experience would definitely prove crucial in the disposition of duties, while also expressing optimism how the football story of Umunneochi would be dragged from the depths of obscurity to becoming a global conversation.

“Firstly I have to express my heartfelt appreciation to our president, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu for the belief and confidence, there are not many words in this context, potential and visible results would surely speak for themselves, with the experience garnered over the years while covering matches in the top tier of Nigerian football, I believe that’s an added advantage in terms of putting tales of Buberio FC and the entirety of Umunneochi community on the map”.

Buberio FC is currently participating in the ongoing Abia State League, where they have been giving an impressive account of themselves at the Umunneochi center, thanks to a flawless 2-0 victory recorded against Behold FC on Tuesday.

With the arrival of the erstwhile media officer of Jewels FC, Ahudiya Nnem FC, the experience of Flakes is an ideal tonic needed for Buberio FC to fast-track their media visibility in the Nigerian football space.
